Bindie West (Moreland)

Bindie West (Moreland) is the main informant for the Garawa elicitation material (Group 297) and is a participant, together with Stumpy George, in a short free conversation in Garawa (Garawa 297 text). It appears that at the time of recording Bindie West was living at the Doomadgee Mission. He had lived on the Robinson River area in the Northern Territory, so presumably he spoke the western dialect of Garawa.

Stumpy George

Stumpy George was present for some parts of the Garawa elicitation session (Group 297). In the Garawa elicitation material we refer to him as "informant 2". He is also a participant, together with Bindie West, in a short free conversation in Garawa (Garawa 297 text).
