Jiwarli Sounds



Welcome to the Jiwarli Sounds Page! This is where you actually get to hear the sounds of the language and understand the spelling system. As well you will find information on the structure of Jiwarli words (or phonotactics).

Compared to English, the spelling system for Jiwarli is relatively simple and consistent. With the exception of voicing for stops, every sound is spelled in one way and every letter or group of letters is pronounced in one way. Below is a list of all the Jiwarli vowels and consonants.
