The Star4Win package includes by default two dictionary databases (in a special format): A. Zalizniak's Russian Grammatical Dictionary and Mueller's English-Russian dictionary.
Morphological analysis and synthesis is supported in Star4Win just like in StarLing. Press F9 while the cursor is positioned on any Russian (or English) word and watch the results.
The result of morphological analysis and synthesis is placed by Star4Win into a separate text window which can be viewed, edited, printed and closed like any other text window.
Starting with Star4Win 1.0.6 an optional multilingual (English-German-French-Spanish-Italian-Dutch) dictionary can be installed. It is available as a separate installation package (multilang.exe) which will install varia.dbf and varindex.dbf into the default StarSoft\Dict folder. The dictionary is actually a concatenation of several dictionaries available on the Web (see www.freelang.net), and the lexicographical qualities are rather low. But it can certainly be useful for a quick lookup of a German or Spanish word. No morphological engines for languages except English and Russian are present so far, so the words will be looked up primarily in their source form (although some ready-built word forms can be also found). Information from the multilingual dictionary will be summoned by pressing the standard F9 key, as long as the dictionaries are present in the StarSoft\Dict folder.
