Star4Win v. 2.00 (September 2004)

This is the Star4Win program for multilingual database and texts processing - the Windows successor of STARLING.
     It combines all capabilities of the DOS version with the graphic WYSIWYG possibilities of Windows.
    Star4Win functions on all Windows 9x and above (Windows 95, 98, Milennium, NT, 2000, XP, and Server 2003). It will not run on Windows 3x, where the DOS version should be used.
    Star4Win is written in a combination of GCC and xHarbour, by Philipp Krylov and the author of StarLing, Sergei Starostin.

The basic features of Star4Win are:

Capability of creating and processing powerful databases specifically suited for linguistic purposes.
Capability of Internet database and text publishing.
Capability of creating and processing text files in ASCII (text), RTF and HTML formats.
Capability of handling complicated linguistic and multilingual graphic systems, utilizing TrueType fonts and Windows Unicode capabilities.
A built-in morphological processor and dictionaries.
A set of powerful glottochronological and genealogical procedures.
WYSIWYG presentation of databases and texts.
Full compatibility with the DOS STARLING program.
